Hi.
Firstly, let it be known that that i found this out, unless someone else found it out before me, but i have not heard of it anywhere.
Basicly, this small guide tells you how to change the amount of money that you have in your account and how much money you have on you in grizzly gulch.
what you will need:
notepad
grizzly gulch
a backup of your saved game that you will be changing.
I will try and explain this as best as i can, but ask if you don't understand, i'd hate it if you messed up your gg.
steps:
1: open c:program files
2: find bavisoft, then grizzly gulch.
3: you will need to find out what player number you are, this is the number that you sellect at the point of the game when you wake up in the hotel.
from now on, i will use the player number x, remember to replace this with the number of your game.
4: in the main gg directory not sound, find savesx.dat.
NOTE that your screen reader might say savesx, not savesx.dat.
5: open it in notepad, if you know how to do that, skip to 6.
press enter on the file.
This will change based on what operating system you are using, but you basicly want to choos from a list of programs to open the file with.
NOTE that some operating systems will say that this is a system file, just ignore that, and select notepad once you've found the list; you don't want to always use this program to open this type of file, so make sure that that box isn't checked.
6: ok, this is the really hard and dangerous bit.
You now have your saved gg game open in notepad.
You shood or will see lots of numbers, we are only interested in the 2nd and 3rd ones.
the second one is how much money you have on you, and the 3rd one is how much money you have in your account.
NOTE that they all have spaces between each number, for example mine starts 0 50 0 when i have just made a new player.
So, change the second number to what ever you want (i did 1 billion, this crashes the game, coz it thinks you have 0 million $s in your account so don't do that).
Next, making sure not to tuch the spaces, change the third number to another amount, again the billion thing aplies.
7: MAKING SURE THAT YOU HAVE NOT CHANGED THE SPACES save the changes, do not do save as, just alt f4, it'll ask you if you want to save the changes, and just press y.
8: well done, you've done it! just play gg now with your new money.
You can do that as many times as you want.
9: i messed up, and now my game is scrood up!!!
Thats true, just restore the backup you shood have made by copying and pasting over the dat file.
So, i hope that this helps you complete the game.
